BIRD SERIES

The Bird Series were the first works I created after returning from the United States for my first international exhibition. After having made a lot of semi abstract works for that show I wanted to focus on specific subject matter and decided birds would be a unique and fun exploration of shape, form and stylised poses. I learnt to weld during this time and incorporated this new skill set into several bases of this series which allowed for great linear formations in some of the birds designs.
